Since I was the main sim owner of Lestern, I wonder if those that are “bitching” are the same who griefed us to the point we closed. Since we wouldn’t allow non-human avatars, required actual roleplay (in a rp sim), enforced LL TOS (concerning minors), and payment from our vendors (not open selling to in group IMs) we where considered harsh and unreasonable. So be it.

Lestern was founded by main players and admins of SLFD (Dek Hornet’s sim which he closed). The original focus was on emergency services (PD, EMS, and FD) roleplay, unlike SLFD which focused on “gaming” and selling FD gear. We opened.. they came… not to rp but to build in the streets, drive vehicles and sell their FD/PD vehicles and gear to our members. Emergency sims attack tons of minors for some reason who only wish to “video game” not roleplay. Simply look at the countless (so called) emergency based rp sims, or those who’ve recently tried to add it to their established rp (Deadend, Disturbia, etc). All have added to the their griefer / non-rp problems, or closed under the pressure.

Until, SL matures or charges its members no one will be able to create a rp sim of this type and survive.

So if you wish to remove you rating.. I have no problem. But at least understand “why” you might be getting bitched at before you post such a statement. Unless of course your review was worthless and you’re incapable of standing behind it, therefore allowing those who killed Lestern, to run your reviews as well.

I noticed you reviewed our old rp sim Lestern. That’s now gone, replaced instead by a more highly immersed and extremely detailed roleplay and build. I personally invite you to visit us on your many travels. Email me, send note card in-world if you’d like a personal tour. This weekend is our kickoff for the new dark park. This weekend’s feature.. Naked Underground Bumper Cars.
